Welcome 2014, its January and the perils of the unlucky ’13’ have finally lifted.
Out with the O-L-D, and down with the things that should no longer inspire.
Hopefully this year we all stop idolizing useless celebrities, with big fake personalities and fake everything else to match. If the Kardashians coud stop being everywhere that would be great.
If fashion magazines could stop promoting the ‘slim’ aesthetic and we could see a wider variety of sizes, ages and race in the media, that would be a step in a positive direction.
Perhaps people will start trusting magazines and the images they see if they stopped photoshopping everything to distort the truth, who can forget the uproar Karlie Kloss created in Numero magazine when they photoshopped her protruding rib cage OUT of the picture to make her look boneless…if a model is too thin, use another model… God knows there’s millions of them out there.

Perhaps we could see beauty in the raw and the real this year, I just adore Storm model Moffy and her beautiful brown hair, but what really sets her apart from the rest is her strabismus, or cross eyes. Her unique look got her the cover of cult magazine POP and as a result was dubbed “The Face” It’s great to see models that challenge the norm.
