He’s got designer talents and we couldn’t be prouder of our home-grown Aussie Benjamin Mach who will be bedazzling the judges on Project Runway USA– Season 11 as he zips his way down the catwalk. Premiering Jan. 24
He’s the first Australian ever to feature on the show and Benjamin has some big shoes to fill as this season promises to deliver designers who have a genuine passion to win and advance their careers in the fashion industry, will he be a cut above the rest?
Runway mentor Tim Gunn describes Benjamin Mach as the six-foot-three Aussie designer, one of the most “polarizing” contestants on the show and a bit of a “bossy-boots”
I had the pleasure of working with Benjamin Mach on Sunday In The Apartment showcasing Australian talents in London. His dresses were a delicate, well-tailored feminine mix of modern silks and antique kimono with fashion recycling that even Al Gore would be proud of.
Upon graduating from fashion school, Benjamin was touted as Australia’s “Next Big Designer” and “one to watch” by VOGUE and immediately started showing his own line at Australian Fashion Week.
Benjamin Mach is a highly qualified and well-rounded designer with experience in the Luxury Bespoke & RTW market. Having designed for brands across the world his work has shown on runways in Sydney, London, Paris, Madrid and Miami.
Growing up in Sydney, Benjamin developed his design skills from a young age. He studied at the Fashion Design Studio in Sydney, then moving to London where he worked with Marchesa, Wintle and Roberto Torretta.
He also designs his own label http://www.narcissuswoman.com/
We wish you the best Benjamin Mach, let’s hope you pick up every stitch, but you’re already a winner in my books sweetheart.
